Position Summary
The Project Manager for Curriculum Operations will orchestrate and drive the effective execution of curriculum-related initiatives across the company. This role entails managing project timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and communications with stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery within scope and alignment with the company’s strategic goals. Acting as the nexus between Curriculum Development, Product, Print Production, Technology, and other departments, the Project Manager facilitates accountability and maintains transparency during project lifecycles. The ideal candidate possesses a results-driven approach, extensive project management experience particularly within K–12 curriculum, educational publishing, instructional materials, or EdTech sectors, along with strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage concurrent projects and foster cross-team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple curriculum-focused projects from start to finish, coordinating timelines, deliverables, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
- Track project progress, address risks, dependencies, and schedule changes proactively, enforcing accountability for commitments and escalating issues when needed.
- Facilitate coordination among Curriculum Development, Product, Print Production, Technology, and other involved teams to ensure smooth handoffs and phase completions.
- Create and update project documentation, schedules, resource plans, trackers, and reports to provide clear visibility and support execution.
- Conduct project meetings, readiness assessments, and status updates, documenting key decisions, risks, actions, and communicating progress through dashboards and executive summaries.
- Oversee launch readiness by confirming completion of required deliverables, approvals, communication, and dependency resolution before releases.
- Support intake and prioritization of projects by gathering requirements, clarifying scope, and managing stakeholder inputs.
- Monitor budgets, resource allocation, and spending; identify discrepancies and prepare updates and forecasts for leadership.
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Curriculum Operations and Curriculum leadership to enhance portfolio transparency, reporting, and strategic initiative fulfillment.
- Use data analysis and project retrospectives to pinpoint areas for improving communication, coordination, efficiency, and overall project success.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.

- Proficient in project management and collaboration platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Jira, Excel, Microsoft Project) for documentation, tracking, and reporting.
- Ability to forge collaborative team relationships across departments and manage interdependent work effectively.
- Experience managing project budgets, resource coordination, and performance tracking.

Education and Experience
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in project, program, or operations management.
- Preferred background within K–12 curriculum, educational publishing, instructional materials, or EdTech sectors.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects involving curriculum development, print design and production, technology, product management, or publishing.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Project Management, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related discipline.
- Required project management certification such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent.
