Role Overview
Reporting to the Senior Project Engineering Lead, the Engineering Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of engineering projects within set deadlines and budgets. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams, clients, and vendors to ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate project setup upon award and estimate handoff, ensuring the project team, budget, and documentation are ready for an efficient project launch.
- Maintain consistent reporting to clients and internal stakeholders, facilitating communication and leading project meetings such as kick-offs, updates, change orders, recovery plans, and lessons learned.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable invoices timely and accurately to uphold cash flow and ensure project payments are processed properly.
- Oversee project expenditures, ensuring compliance with the approved budget, and align man-hour projections for assigned projects.
- Communicate change order requests to clients and ensure budget adjustments reflect these changes appropriately.
- Keep quality and acceptance standards top of mind for all assigned projects.
- Determine project staffing needs, including specialty consultants and subcontractors, setting clear expectations for team members to guarantee successful delivery.
- Coordinate project closeout activities and conduct reviews to identify improvements, providing actionable recommendations.
Additional Information

Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or related fields is advantageous.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered a plus.
- Experience with electric utility clients is beneficial.
- Preferred experience managing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience overseeing medium to large full-cycle construction projects.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with a track record of leading diverse teams in dynamic, deadline-driven environments.
- Preferred proficiency with MS Project, Primavera P6, HardDollar, and ViewPoint Construction Software.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
