About the Role

Our client is an established civil contractor known for delivering quality infrastructure and civil construction projects across the region. With a strong pipeline of secured work and anticipated growth, they seek an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join their Queenstown team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of civil construction projects from initiation to completion.
• Lead and support site teams, including foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Manage project schedules, resources, and daily site operations.
• Track budgets, manage project costs, and ensure financial targets are met.
• Interpret plans and specifications to guarantee work aligns with design standards.
• Supervise quality assurance processes, record keeping, and reporting.
• Maintain strong compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and nurture positive relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed within timeframes, budgets, and to high quality standards.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in project management or engineering roles within civil construction.
• Proven track record in delivering civil infrastructure, earthworks, roading, or drainage projects.
• Effective leadership skills to motivate and guide site personnel.
• Good commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and costs.
• Strong organisational, planning, and communication abilities.
• A proactive problem solver with a hands-on leadership style.
• Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to civil construction.
• Qualifications in civil construction, engineering, or project management are beneficial.
