Role Overview

As a Restaurant Utility Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, upkeep, and basic maintenance of both the restaurant facilities and its equipment. Your tasks will include daily and deep cleaning routines, as well as preventative maintenance to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete all Zax LLC training mandates.
• Ensure the restaurant location remains safe, clean, and properly maintained.
• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled cleaning tasks and basic repairs.
• Regularly clean and conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Inspect, test, and operate equipment to detect malfunctions.
• Address minor lighting repairs.
• Perform deep cleaning and pressure washing both inside and outside the premises.
• Interpret equipment manuals and work orders effectively.
• Proactively inspect grounds, plumbing, electrical fixtures, kitchen equipment, and building infrastructure to prevent issues.
• Make minor repairs as needed.
• Understand and apply safety procedures, instructions, and operational manuals.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate maintenance logs.
• Adhere to all Zaxby's franchising guidelines, policies, and regulations.
• Comply with safety protocols and maintain a flexible attitude exceeding job expectations.
• Report human resources or risk management concerns to management promptly.
• Perform any additional duties to support restaurant operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
• Availability for full-time work: 32 to 40 hours per week.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to work well with others.

Physical and Capability Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Occasional stooping, bending, crouching, climbing ladders as required.
• Capacity to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.
• Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine motor tasks.
• Effective communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing.
• Good vision and hearing to safely observe and respond to the environment.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors with varying temperatures and exposure to allergens.
• Safe operation of restaurant equipment including knives and fryers.
