Security Guard

Job Overview

The Security Guard position involves continuous patrols around compound perimeters, maintaining vigilance throughout assigned shifts. The guard must monitor all activities according to security protocols and respond promptly to emergencies or unusual incidents, ensuring the safety of Save the Children staff and property.

Key Responsibilities

• Regularly patrol designated areas, maintaining security surveillance during shifts as per directives.
• Identify and report suspicious behaviour, maintenance issues, and emergency situations following organizational policies.
• Control compound access, verifying that only authorized personnel and visitors enter the premises.
• Stay in frequent communication with supervisors using radios or telephones as specified.
• Maintain thorough security logs documenting staff and guest movements, equipment/assets transfers, and records of any maintenance or repairs.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned related to the position.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completion of high school education is required.
• Preferably two years of relevant experience working within national or international NGOs.
