Storekeeper

Overview

This position, located at Building No. 153 Street No. 347, Lusail, Qatar, within the Procurement, Purchasing, and Quality Assurance category, involves receiving, organizing, and distributing merchandise efficiently in a hospitality environment. The role operates on a full-time schedule, requiring adherence to quality and safety standards without supervisory duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and arrange merchandise by department, marking items accurately for storage and placement.
• Stack merchandise on pallets or carts and complete inventory requisition forms for supplies.
• Alert management promptly about low stock levels to maintain adequate inventory.
• Manage deliveries by storing perishables correctly, rotating stock, and inspecting items for freshness, cleanliness, and quality.
• Reject deliveries that are damaged, incorrect, or do not meet quality standards.
• Strictly follow food safety and handling protocols within all related areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of refrigerators, freezers, floors, equipment, and drains.
• Dispose of empty pallets, cardboard, and trash in designated storage zones.
• Report workplace accidents, unsafe conditions, and complete necessary safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies, maintain professional appearance and confidentiality.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues, fostering positive teamwork.
• Meet quality assurance criteria and demonstrate attention to detail in reading and verifying information.
• Physically capable of extended standing, sitting, or walking, and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds safely.
• Navigate confined or uneven spaces and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational attainment of a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is preferred.
• No prior work or supervisory experience is required.
• No licenses or certifications are mandatory.
