About the Role
Are you curious about building a career in engineering consultancy? At Aurecon, we foster innovation by empowering problem-solvers who transform complexity into clear solutions. This paid 12-week summer internship offers hands-on experience in both technical and advisory projects, structured training, and mentoring from industry experts across our Auckland office.
Interns will contribute to real-world assignments in either the Energy & Industrial sector, supporting manufacturing plants and energy infrastructure, or the Buildings team, focusing on mechanical services in hospitals, airports, and commercial spaces. This opportunity provides exposure to multiple projects, challenges, and career paths within a leading engineering consultancy.
Internship Experience

Professional Development
The internship is designed to strengthen your technical skills, boost consulting confidence, and provide insight into various career trajectories. Candidate Profile
- Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or related program, preferably in your penultimate year of study.
- Passion for either industrial/energy systems or mechanical building services in the built environment.
- Available for 12 full-time weeks from mid-November 2026 to February 2027, with a two-week holiday break over Christmas and New Year.
- Curious, communicative, and a collaborative team player.
