Application Engineer - AI Trainer

Role overview

This position is for an existing Application Engineer focused on AI training work. You will join a large coding community helping improve AI systems by completing real programming tasks and contributing to model development.

The work combines flexibility with technical challenge. You may create and solve coding problems, build applications with substantial functionality, and analyze or visualize data to generate useful insights. Your contributions help refine AI models so they can learn and improve over time. Some people use this work alongside another full-time role, while others treat it as their main work and choose assignments that fit their availability.

How the process works

After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that functions as the screening step. If successful, you will receive an email confirmation and paid tasks will become available through the platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and solve a range of coding challenges used to train AI systems, with a particular focus on Android-related development.
• Produce clean code examples along with clear, well-structured explanations.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
• Share feedback that helps improve the next generation of AI models.

Qualifications

• Strong command of English at a native or bilingual level.
• Preferred background in Kotlin.
• Working knowledge of at least one programming language or framework from: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift.
• Excellent written communication, spelling, and grammar.
• Bachelor’s degree completed or currently in progress.
• Prior experience as a software developer, coder, software engineer, or programmer is an advantage.

Contract and payment details

This is an independent contractor role. Compensation is paid hourly, beginning at $50 to $100+ per hour, with higher rates possible for certain assignments. Payment is issued through PayPal, and PayPal handles any currency conversion from USD. The company will not request any payment from applicants.

Eligibility

This opportunity is available only to candidates located in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand. Applicants outside these countries will not have access to work or assessments on the platform.
