Role summary
This is a full-time Architectural Assistant position based in Sligo, County Sligo, Ireland. The role is described as hybrid, meaning it combines office-based collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility. You will assist project teams with architectural and interior design work, help prepare technical drawings and detailed documentation, and support senior colleagues in the delivery of projects.
What you will do
- Support the development of architectural and interior design projects at different stages.
- Prepare technical drawings and detailed project documentation under senior guidance.
- Contribute to concept development and early design ideas.
- Create presentation material and visual content for clients and internal use.
- Assist with coordination between different disciplines involved in the project.
- Take part in design review discussions and team collaboration.
- Help organize project information so work is accurate, clear, and delivered on time.
- Work across a variety of project types while contributing to a collaborative studio process.
What is needed
- Solid ability in technical drawing and architectural drafting for accurate documentation.
- Basic understanding of architecture, design principles, and building processes.
- Good communication skills for working with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Ability to produce clear and visually effective presentations.
- Experience with design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools is an advantage.
- A degree or diploma in Architecture or Architectural Technology is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational ability.
- Capability to manage several tasks and meet deadlines.
- Interest in interior design, materiality, and contemporary architectural practice.
