About Hipcamp
Hipcamp is the leading app for discovering and reserving campsites, covering everything from national parks to privately owned farms. It brings together a wide range of camping options, including private sites, public lands, and full-service campgrounds, so people can find the right place to stay in one app. More than 7 million campers use Hipcamp to explore tent sites, RV spaces, and glamping stays, and the platform supports millions of trips each year while also contributing to local businesses and biodiversity.
About the Role
This is a part-time fixed-term position for 12 months, with an expected commitment of around 24 hours per week and the possibility of extra hours during peak summer demand. Candidates must be located in Australia.
In this position, you will help expand Hipcamp’s Host network across Australia by finding, engaging, and qualifying potential Hosts for the Supply Acquisition team. You will often be the first person to speak with prospective Hosts, introducing them to Hipcamp and assessing whether they are a good fit for the platform.
You will interact with a varied group of prospects, including farmers and private landowners considering agritourism or additional farm income, as well as holiday park and caravan park operators who want to increase bookings and attract new travelers.
This role is heavily outbound and requires strong cold-calling ability. Most of your day will involve proactive outreach through phone calls, email, SMS, and other channels to create conversations and uncover new opportunities for the wider Supply team. Strong performance will depend on steady activity, persistence, and the ability to build trust quickly.
You will qualify leads, learn about each prospect’s goals and suitability for Hipcamp, and make sure the information is accurately recorded before passing opportunities to a Supply Acquisition Manager for onboarding and conversion.
You will work toward clear activity and pipeline goals while playing an important part in growing Hipcamp’s Host community across Australia.
This is a remote role that requires strong self-management. You will be trusted to organise your own time, keep outreach moving consistently, and contribute positively within a collaborative and fast-moving team.
The role is well suited to someone looking to develop a career in sales, business development, partnerships, account management, or marketplace growth.
What Success Looks Like
- You regularly create qualified opportunities for the Australian Supply team through proactive outreach.
- You are comfortable handling a large number of outbound calls and confidently introducing potential Hosts to Hipcamp.
- You keep your activity strong across calls, emails, SMS, and follow-ups.
- You qualify leads effectively by understanding the property, goals, and fit for the platform.
- You record information accurately and keep the pipeline organised in the CRM.
- You book meetings successfully and pass qualified leads to Supply Acquisition Managers.
- You meet or surpass targets for activity, qualification, and pipeline generation.
- You communicate Hipcamp’s value clearly and adapt conversations for different types of prospective Hosts.
- You work independently and sustain momentum in a remote setting.
- You share useful feedback from prospect conversations to improve sales messaging, lead generation, and supply strategy.
- You contribute to a positive team culture and work well with Sales, Marketing, Support, Product, and Operations.
What You Need to Succeed
