Overview

Crossing Hurdles is hiring a Data Scientist for a remote contract role supporting teams across the EMEA region. This position is designed for someone who can work around 10 to 40 hours per week.

What you'll do

Work with varied data sources by gathering, preparing, and refining datasets so they are accurate and ready for analysis.
Build, test, and apply statistical and predictive models to uncover insights that can drive decisions.
Use exploratory analysis to spot patterns, trends, and areas where the business can improve.
Communicate insights clearly through dashboards, charts, and reports that make sense to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Partner with teammates to plan and deliver data projects from the initial idea through final execution.
Refine analytics methods and automate repetitive steps to make data processes more efficient.

What we're looking for

Solid background in statistics, mathematics, and practical data analysis.
Experience working with large and complex datasets, including cleaning and organizing them.
Programming ability in Python, R, or similar languages used for data work and modeling.
Strong data modeling experience, including developing and validating predictive models.
Ability to create effective visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or comparable tools and libraries.
