Role Overview
This is an on-site Level 2 desktop support assignment in Krefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The position involves hands-on technical support at a client location and requires strict compliance with site procedures, punctuality, and professional conduct throughout the engagement.
Work Schedule
You will work from 09:00 to 17:30 on two days each month, with the exact dates agreed mutually in advance.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive at the client location exactly as scheduled and follow the agreed working hours.
- Report to the main client contact immediately on arrival and proceed to the assigned workstation or area.
- Deliver Level 2 desktop support by resolving issues related to hardware, software, and local workstation infrastructure.
- Record all completed tasks in detail, including asset serial numbers, troubleshooting notes, and observations made during support.
- Escalate any technical matters that are beyond the authority or scope of this assignment without delay.
- Collect formal client approval at the end of each working day and share the completed documentation with the ONS Services Team.
- Comply with all site health, safety, and security requirements, and keep a valid physical ID such as a passport or driving licence with you at all times while on site.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should bring at least 2 years of experience in L2 desktop support, field engineering, or on-site technical support. The role also calls for strong technical ability, careful documentation habits, reliable attendance, and clear communication with client stakeholders.
Dress Code and Site Requirements
Site access requires adherence to the stated dress code: trousers and an unbranded polo shirt. A valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driving licence or passport, is mandatory for entry.
