Descrição da vaga
Role overview
This position is a full-time, fully remote PMO role focused on procurement and supply chain support for a major international mining transaction. It is a unique opportunity to contribute to a complex global separation effort, helping senior leaders coordinate the transition of procurement, contracting, and supply chain activities across several countries and stakeholder groups.
The engagement is described as a 12-month fixed-term arrangement, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role. The broader timeframe mentioned is 12 to 18 months. The role is based in Australia and is intended for immediate start.
This is not a standard procurement position. It is suited to someone who enjoys structured project delivery, working with schedules and RAID logs, solving problems, building relationships, and turning complexity into clear action. The work offers exposure to major mining and M&A programs and close interaction with senior leaders.
Key work areas
- Coordinate procurement separation activities and track workstream deliverables.
- Support reviews of contracts, novations, assignments, and supplier transition plans.
- Maintain schedules, action logs, RAID logs, and status reporting.
- Work with procurement, supply chain, legal, commercial, and operations teams across multiple regions.
- Prepare polished presentations, analysis packs, and executive-level materials.
- Follow up outstanding actions, surface risks, and help clear delivery blockers.
- Support governance forums, workshops, and executive decision-making.
- Partner with senior client stakeholders to keep a complex program progressing.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings 3 to 8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, commercial, or sourcing environments, along with strong PMO or project coordination capability. Experience in mining, resources, heavy industry, or infrastructure is highly valued.
Applicants should be highly organised, detail-focused, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, and confident working across functions and regions. Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and the wider Microsoft Office suite is essential. The role also requires independent thinking, initiative, problem-solving ability, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
Background in M&A, business separations, integrations, or transformation programs is an advantage, though it is not mandatory.
