Production Control Coordinator

Role overview

Valence Surface Technologies is hiring a full-time Production Control Coordinator in Everett, WA. This position reports to the General Manager and is centered on keeping production flow organized, visible, and on schedule across the shop floor.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $30 to $35 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Support day-to-day production scheduling and help manage job priorities.
• Decide which tasks should move first and which can wait, based on timing, material availability, and available capacity.
• Release, monitor, and refresh work orders and production travelers.
• Serve as a link between production and quality teams to help work continue smoothly.
• Spot delays, shortages, and process bottlenecks before they affect output.
• Help expedite parts and jobs needed to protect critical delivery dates.
• Keep ERP and MRP records current with accurate production progress details.
• Assist with production meetings, schedule checks, and daily communication on the shop floor.
• Contribute ideas and feedback that support continuous improvement.
• Work in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory expectations.

What is required

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing, production, scheduling, or shop-floor support.
• Familiarity with machinery or manufacturing equipment environments.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort working with production staff, supervisors, and leadership.
• Ability to juggle priorities, switch focus quickly, and stay effective in a fast-moving setting.
• Basic computer literacy, with ERP/MRP experience strongly preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with basic reporting tools.

Work conditions

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Capacity to work in changing temperatures.
• Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces when applicable.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or be on call as needed.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Frequent reaching, grasping, and fine hand/arm manipulation.
• Frequent standing and movement during the shift.
• Occasional bending or squatting.
• Occasional repetitive movements.
• Occasional seated computer work at a workstation.
• Manufacturing setting with machinery and industrial equipment.
• Potential exposure to noise, dust, and chemical odors, managed through EHS controls.
• Temperature changes depending on weather and facility conditions.
• PPE is required, including safety glasses, gloves, aprons, boots, respirators, and similar gear.

This role operates in the defense sector and is subject to ITAR requirements. Access to related sensitive information and materials is limited to individuals who qualify as U.S. Persons under federal law.
