QA/QC Manager

Role overview

The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for directing quality assurance and quality control activities across the QXY Project. The role demands a solid grasp of construction workflows and the ability to keep work aligned with project requirements, Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), and contractual obligations. You will collaborate with project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to uphold high-quality standards throughout road and infrastructure works.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee QA/QC operations for the QXY Project and ensure all work complies with project requirements and QCS.
• Create and roll out QA/QC plans, procedures, and controls that follow international standards.
• Carry out routine site checks and audits to track construction progress and spot quality concerns early.
• Evaluate and sign off on contractors’ QA/QC plans, then verify they are applied correctly on site.
• Work closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve quality issues and drive corrective action.
• Coordinate with relevant departments so that approved materials and equipment are delivered on schedule.
• Investigate the underlying causes of non-conformances and introduce preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
• Prepare detailed QA/QC documentation, including non-conformance reports and corrective action summaries.
• Keep current with evolving regulations, industry practices, and QA/QC standards.
• Train and guide project teams and contractors on QA/QC expectations, processes, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications and requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline is required.
• At least 15 years of QA/QC management experience, with a demonstrated background in construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and recognized international quality standards.
• Proven leadership ability with experience guiding and motivating teams.
• Excellent communication and people skills for working with varied stakeholders.
• Ability to use QA/QC software and tools for analysis and reporting.
• Capacity to work independently and manage several projects at the same time.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving quality issues.
• Good understanding of construction methods and best practices in road and infrastructure development.
• Must be prepared to travel to project sites when needed.
• MMUP Registration is mandatory.
