About the Role
Join Plaid's New Business team, a group focused on expanding our reach across diverse businesses by highlighting the transformative potential of financial technology. As a New Business Representative, you will be instrumental in identifying and engaging new clients. We are seeking ambitious sales professionals with experience in SaaS/tech sales and/or outbound prospecting. Your role will involve strategic account mapping, identifying key contacts, initiating engagement, qualifying leads for Account Executives, and nurturing early-stage opportunities. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, resilient, challenges conventional approaches, and is eager to advance their career in technology sales.
Responsibilities
- Act as a vital member of the Plaid Go-To-Market team, supporting Account Executives in acquiring new business.
- Collaborate with the Marketing department to provide feedback on current campaigns and contribute to the development of new initiatives.
- Identify potential clients and build a robust sales pipeline through proactive outbound campaigns.
- Assist new clients in their onboarding process with Plaid and address inquiries regarding our products.
- Pinpoint high-potential market segments to drive significant revenue growth.
Qualifications
- Possess 1-3 years of experience in pipeline development and/or sales, ideally within a SaaS company.
- Demonstrate the ability to conduct high-level discussions with business stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate Plaid’s value proposition to gauge customer interest and potential.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with high customer interaction volume and tight deadlines.
- Exhibit a persistent and determined approach to achieving sales goals.
- Proficiency in using Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems.
- Experience in client interaction and explaining complex technical products, coupled with a strong interest in financial services and technology, and a high degree of intellectual curiosity.
- Enthusiasm for working in a high-growth setting and contributing to the development of processes and tools.
- A strong desire to deepen technical understanding and master Plaid's APIs.

Additional compensation, such as equity and/or commission, may be offered based on the specific role. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan. Compensation is determined by factors including job scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, skillset, and location. Pay and benefits are subject to change.
Compensation Range: $106,000 - $91,995
