About the company

Boeing develops and delivers innovative service solutions for commercial, defence and space customers through Boeing Global Services. The business combines expertise across engineering, digital aviation, analytics, supply chain logistics and training support to help customers lower costs, improve efficiency and run operations more effectively.

Role overview

This is a senior programme management position focused on managing post-delivery aircraft interior modifications and the integration of new equipment into aircraft. The role sits within Boeing Global Services Programme Management and may be based in Frimley, Surrey or Dublin, Ireland. Hybrid working can be considered.

The ideal candidate will bring strong programme leadership experience, particularly in aircraft modification or integration work, and will be comfortable working across engineering, airworthiness and logistics functions while coordinating multiple stakeholders for airline customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for airline customers around the world.
  • Take full ownership of programme delivery, including schedule, quality and financial control from award through final handover.
  • Spot and manage risks, issues and opportunities to protect programme performance or improve it.
  • Lead internal teams to deliver programme requirements effectively.
  • Coordinate day-to-day internal work so activities stay aligned with programme plans.
  • Run and support major customer milestone meetings such as ITCM, PDR, CDR and FAI, and document minutes and action items.
  • Represent customer expectations and requirements to engineering teams to keep everyone aligned.
  • Share regular status reports, milestone timelines and risk summaries each week.
  • Escalate programme progress, financial health and key concerns to senior management.
  • Handle customer change requests and support assessments of schedule and cost impact.
  • Trigger invoicing for project payments and follow up on outstanding amounts when needed.
  • Contribute to proposal development in response to customer RFPs when required.

Work authorisation and location requirements

This role is for locally hired candidates in the UK or Ireland. Applicants must already have legal permission to work immediately in either country, and Boeing will not provide immigration or labour sponsorship. Relocation approval is not included in this position, although relocation may be available depending on candidate eligibility.

This is not a shift-working role. Applicants should also note that employer sponsorship for employment visa status will not be provided.

Preferred background and qualifications

Candidates should have qualifications in programme management or an equivalent credential such as PMP or CPM. Experience with aircraft modification or integration projects is strongly preferred, as is prior work in an engineering environment, ideally within aerospace.

The role calls for at least 10 years of applicable experience. A BS degree in a STEM field is preferred, or alternatively at least 5 years of experience in a related commercial or military aerospace business.

Applicants should be proficient with MS Office tools, including MS Project, be self-directed with minimal supervision, and be able to travel up to 50% of the time, sometimes at short notice.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary plus annual incentive plans.
  • Learning and development opportunities to build skills for future challenges.
  • Flexibility and support to help you create meaningful impact in your own way.
  • An inclusive culture that values individuality and encourages diverse perspectives.
  • 25 days of leave in addition to UK public holidays.
  • Pension plan with employer contributions of up to 10%.
  • Company-paid BUPA medical cover.
  • Short-term sickness benefit paying 100% of salary for the first 26 weeks.
  • Long-term sickness benefit paying 66.67% of annual salary from week 27 onward.
  • Life insurance cover equal to 6 times annual salary.
  • Access to the Learning Together Programme for ongoing personal and professional development.
  • Access to Boeing wellbeing programmes, tools and incentives.
