Role overview

HCLTech is hiring an experienced Snowflake Lead in Nagpur for an on-site role. The position is intended for a senior data engineering professional with deep hands-on knowledge of Snowflake, AWS, Airflow, Snowpark, PySpark, and SQL, along with the ability to guide teams and work closely with clients.

What you will do

• Take ownership of the design, build, and rollout of data solutions on Snowflake and AWS.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines with Airflow, PySpark, and Snowpark.
• Work directly with clients to capture needs, share technical input, and support successful delivery.
• Create well-optimized SQL for transformation and analytical workloads.
• Apply strong practices around data architecture, security, and performance tuning.
• Review code written by team members and provide useful, actionable feedback.
• Investigate and fix data issues as well as pipeline or platform performance problems.
• Keep up with evolving tools, methods, and trends in cloud data platforms and analytics.

Skills and qualifications

• Advanced expertise in Snowflake, including Snowpark and PySpark capabilities.
• Practical experience using Apache Airflow to orchestrate workflows.
• Strong PySpark skills for ETL and data processing tasks.
• Excellent SQL development ability with an emphasis on efficiency and scale.
• Confident client-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to convert business needs into workable technical solutions.
• Background in leading technical teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
