Vault Operator

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on the secure control, storage, and movement of sensitive items and materials. Job objective

The main purpose of this role is to manage vault activities with a strong focus on security, accuracy, and compliance. The successful candidate will help ensure controlled access, dependable stock records, and safe handling of materials while supporting smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the vault, including the secure receipt, storage, and handling of documents, equipment, and other sensitive items.
• Allow access only to approved individuals by following strict controls such as badges, biometric checks, and access logs.
• Record all entries and exits accurately and review access logs for audit and security tracking.
• Receive, store, and release materials only when supported by approved documentation or system requests.
• Maintain complete inventory data, including serial numbers, batch details, labeling, and traceability.
• Carry out regular stock checks and investigate or reconcile any mismatches found during audits.
• Prepare secure packaging and arrange safe transfer of high-value or classified materials.
• Prepare reports covering inventory status, access activity, and any incidents.
• Follow company policies and all relevant regulatory requirements at all times.
• Escalate any security concerns, unusual activity, or inventory discrepancies without delay.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate records and documentation.
• Maintain standards related to safety, confidentiality, and data protection.

Experience and qualification requirements

• A background of more than 5 years in a relevant area is required.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data entry, tracking inventory, and preparing reports.
• Ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations and reporting.
• Experience with ERP platforms used for inventory or material management.
• Comfortable working in MS Office tools as part of daily tasks.
• Experience working in vaults, warehouses, or inventory-focused operations is preferred.
• Understanding of access control and security procedures is preferred.
• Forklift operation experience is preferred, especially narrow-aisle forklift handling.
• Ability to work with confidential, sensitive, and high-value materials.
• Strong focus on detail, accuracy, communication, and coordination.
• Willingness to adapt to new tools, technologies, and equipment.
• Capability to work in a secure, compliance-driven environment.
