Role Summary
This is an on-site, full-time Warehouse Supervisor position in Tuas. The role is centered on keeping day-to-day warehouse functions running efficiently, supervising staff, and maintaining a well-organized, safe, and productive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily warehouse activities and make sure workflow remains smooth and efficient.
- Assign work to warehouse team members, track performance, and support staff development and training.
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations, including coordination of inbound and outbound goods.
- Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and all required records, labels, and paperwork are completed correctly.
- Manage material handling processes and maintain strong control over inventory counts and stock records.
- Plan storage arrangements, improve space usage, and keep the warehouse layout organized.
- Work with logistics and transport teams to align dispatches with delivery timelines and customer needs.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, safety rules, and quality standards.
- Promote a safe work environment and support ongoing improvement efforts within warehouse operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven supervisory ability, including team leadership, monitoring performance, and guiding staff.
- Hands-on knowledge of shipping and receiving workflows, with attention to documentation and coordination.
- Experience in material handling, inventory control, stock counting, and warehouse record keeping.
- Ability to operate forklifts and follow equipment safety practices.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is an added advantage.
- Understanding of safety rules, compliance requirements, and operational quality practices.
- Exposure to hazardous cargo or temperature-controlled goods handling is beneficial.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Prior experience in a warehouse supervisory or similar logistics position is preferred.
- Relevant logistics or warehouse operations certifications would be an advantage.
