Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in simulation and virtual validation tasks on vehicle, subsystem, and component levels.
  • Perform CAE structural and durability analyses including chassis, battery enclosures, and body components through static, modal, fatigue, and durability simulations.
  • Conduct stiffness and lightweight optimization studies and validate designs via finite element analysis.
  • Correlate simulation outputs with real-world physical testing results.
  • Undertake CFD studies covering battery thermal management, cooling airflow for battery/motor/power electronics, cabin HVAC thermal comfort, underbody airflow, water ingress, and ventilation.
  • Engage in 1-D system simulations such as vehicle longitudinal performance, energy consumption, drive cycles, motor/inverter/battery modeling, cooling system performance, regenerative braking, and vehicle optimization.
  • Perform full vehicle simulations including performance prediction, gradeability, acceleration, energy management, mission-based scenarios, parameter sensitivity, and system-level trade-off analyses.

Tools and Technologies

  • Altair HyperMesh, OptiStruct, MotionSolve, HyperView, and preferred AcuSolve.
  • MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape.
