Overview
Begin your professional journey with Together Housing Group as an Apprentice Electrician, gaining hands-on experience and earning a recognized qualification in the electrical trade while receiving a salary.

Key Responsibilities
- Acquire skills in electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair.
- Support qualified electricians in performing both scheduled and responsive maintenance on housing properties.
- Execute work safely following electrical and health and safety standards.
- Develop abilities to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles responsibly.
- Complete academic and assessment requirements in collaboration with Places for People (Thrive Training Academy), attending their Derby facility one week per month with travel and accommodation expenses covered; applicants under 18 require guardian permission due to training commitments.
- Provide excellent customer service while working in residents’ homes.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong desire to become a qualified electrician.
- Motivated, dependable, and eager to learn.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Positive attitude coupled with a solid work ethic.
- Commitment to successfully complete the apprenticeship program.
- Possession of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English at the apprenticeship entry level.

Additional Information
- This role is on a fixed-term contract for 48 months, matching the duration of the apprenticeship.
- Salary details: First year salary is £15,392; from the second year onwards, compensation will be at least minimum wage based on age but this applies regardless of age.
- Role involves working with vulnerable individuals; hence, a full criminal disclosure check will be conducted upon conditional offer.
