Role Overview
This full-time position located in Cavan offers a four-day workweek and involves direct client engagement. Reporting to the Audit Partner, the successful candidate will lead various audit projects within the regional clientele.
Primary Responsibilities
- Organising and planning audit assignments along with resource allocation and supervision of audit documentation and financial statement reviews.
- Assisting the audit partner on various business advisory assignments such as negotiations with Revenue and banking institutions, supporting restructuring processes, and providing litigation assistance.
- Supervising trainees enrolled in a 3.5-year Chartered Accountancy training program.
- Meeting team budget targets and fulfilling agreed business planning objectives.
- Upholding high technical and professional standards throughout all engagements.
- Strategically assessing client needs by gaining a comprehensive understanding of their operations and identifying critical risk factors.
- Proactively resolving potential issues before escalation and devising effective solutions.
- Providing coaching, training, and developmental support to team members.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualification as ACA or ACCA.
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years’ experience in external audit, with at least 1 to 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
