Building Surveyor

Overview

An established contractor specializing in insulation and energy efficiency seeks an experienced Building Surveyor to play a key role in supporting retrofit and insulation projects throughout Cork and its neighboring counties. This position is crucial in performing thorough surveys, ensuring adherence to national quality standards, and offering technical advice to both homeowners and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of residences referred by SEAI and other contractors to verify insulation areas.
• Collaborate effectively with contractors and SEAI to address and resolve any inconsistencies identified during surveys.
• Engage with homeowners to clearly explain energy upgrade measures such as window replacement, external and internal wall insulation, cavity wall insulation, and heat pump installations.
• Complete and submit all necessary documentation accurately for each project.
• Oversee the entire job lifecycle, coordinating between subcontractors, internal personnel, and homeowners to maintain smooth communication.
• Monitor project progress closely to guarantee the completion of work without defects or issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years experience in building surveying or a comparable role in construction.
• Excellent communication and organizational capabilities.
• Proven competence in managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Possession of a valid full EU driving license is essential.

The position is full-time and permanent, based onsite in Cork. It requires effective multitasking and strong collaboration skills to ensure quality project delivery in the energy retrofit sector.
