Business Analyst

Position Overview

We are looking to hire an experienced Business Analyst based in Philadelphia, PA, with the flexibility of remote work requiring onsite meetings 1-2 times monthly. This non-technical role focuses on functional, process, and change management aspects within complex and high-impact business projects that have executive-level sponsorship.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and manage business analysis activities from project start through implementation.
• Engage with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
• Conduct process and gap analyses to identify improvement areas.
• Define and validate solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Provide support for change readiness initiatives to ensure smooth transitions.
• Develop comprehensive business cases, assist in requirements gathering, testing, and training coordination.
• Coordinate application RFP processes, including defining functional requirements, evaluating vendors, and scoring demos.
• Create use cases, test plans, test scripts, and other critical documentation.
• Facilitate process improvement efforts through mapping techniques like value stream mapping.
• Establish project metrics, ROI evaluations, and measures of success.
• Maintain project documentation to assist successful delivery and maximize outcomes.
• Promote sound business analysis practices and engage in ongoing skill development.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a lead or sole Business Analyst on high-risk, high-visibility projects.
• Strong proficiency in change management principles and healthcare/research operational environments.
• Intermediate risk management knowledge.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional relationship-building capability along with conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to collaborate across organizational levels and influence decisions without formal authority.
• Familiarity with BABOK and PMBOK frameworks is essential.

Preferred Credentials

• Certification in CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional).
• PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) certification.
• CCBA (Certification of Competency in Business Analysis) credentials.

Compensation and Logistics

This role is compensated on an hourly basis between $35 and $45 per hour, operating as a W-2 employment arrangement. Candidates should be comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing multiple workstreams independently while engaging with senior leadership.
