CAD Engineer - Cooling Systems

Overview

Join Tata Technologies as a full-time Design Engineer specializing in cooling system components within the automotive powertrain domain. This role involves handling CAD deliverables for various cooling system elements such as hoses, degas tanks, radiators, pumps, and valves while collaborating across teams to ensure comprehensive design solutions aligned with vehicle packaging standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with powertrain teams focusing on design engineering for cooling systems.
• Manage CAD outputs for cooling system components including hoses, degas tanks, and heat exchangers.
• Coordinate with diverse stakeholders to deliver end-to-end design solutions.
• Adhere to vehicle package guidelines and integrate manufacturing design principles.
• Apply expertise in plastic and sheet metal design guidelines and manufacturing processes.

Experience & Skills

• 2 to 4 years of experience in the automotive sector dealing with cooling components.
• Lead and support design reviews and implement design modifications considering feasibility and deadlines.
• Ensure timely CAD completion for samples, trials, and production release stages.
• Understand commodity release protocols and change management processes.
• Comprehend prototype and production Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Proficient in CATIA V5 and V6 2D/3D modelling tools.
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management tools like TeamCenter.
• Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Skilled in MS Office applications including SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or equivalent fields.

Interview Details

A walk-in interview event will be held on Saturday, 1st August in Bangalore at Tata Technologies’ office located at Salarpuria Supreme, Varthur Hobli from 9 AM to 1 PM. The selection process includes profile shortlisting, technical interview, tool test, and HR discussion.
