Cashier

About the Role

Aztec Microfinance Bank Limited, a Tier-1 licensed institution under the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and insured by NDIC, is seeking a full-time Cashier for its Lugbe, Abuja branch. The role requires managing daily cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, POS reconciliations, and maintaining precise financial records while delivering excellent customer support.

Key Duties

• Accurately handle cash deposits, loan repayments, and withdrawal transactions over the counter and through POS devices.
• Manage and reconcile cash floats by balancing daily cash drawers and POS totals, issuing official receipts, and ensuring all collections are accounted for.
• Maintain comprehensive logs of financial transactions and guarantee no inconsistencies between physical cash and system records.
• Deliver prompt and professional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving straightforward payment issues.
• Fulfill shift work requirements, including weekends and public holidays as necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor's Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Have between one and two years of experience in cash handling, POS operation, or customer-facing transaction roles within banking, retail, or hospitality sectors.
• Reside in or near the Lugbe area of Abuja.
• Demonstrate strong numerical skills, meticulous record maintenance, professional appearance, integrity, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
