Role Summary

The position requires expertise in C++ and Python programming within a Linux environment, focusing on AI development. Candidates should be capable of working effectively in teams, independently managing assigned tasks or features, and implementing solutions within defined technical domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance and optimize critical deep learning models for Qualcomm AI 100 hardware.
• Develop extensions for deep learning frameworks within Qualcomm AI 100 integrated into open-source repositories.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and improve both training and inference workflows for deep learning models.
• Construct software tools and supporting ecosystems around the AI software stack.
• Engage with technologies such as Triton, ExecuTorch, Inductor, and TorchDynamo to develop abstraction layers catering to inference accelerators.
• Optimize workload performance for scale-up (multi-SoC) and scale-out (multi-card) computing architectures.
• Enhance the overall deep learning pipeline including integration with graph compilers.
• Adhere to software engineering best practices throughout development activities.

Required Skills and Aptitudes

• Strong experience or knowledge in deep learning domains including Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Audio processing, and recommendation systems.
• Proficiency in C, C++, or Python programming with solid software design skills, debugging, performance analysis, and test planning.
• Advanced capability with PyTorch and Just-In-Time compilation (JIT).
• Ability to autonomously address identified problems, comprehend requirements, and complete development tasks thoroughly.
• A problem-solving mindset targeted at engineering and domain-specific challenges.
• A research-driven developer focused on innovation and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing workloads on large-scale heterogeneous computing clusters.
• Familiarity with compiler technologies is advantageous.
• Hands-on knowledge of CUDA and cuDNN libraries.
• Comfortable with open-source software development methodologies.

Educational and Professional Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning/AI, Information Systems, or closely related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of software engineering or related work experience.
• At least 2 years programming experience in languages such as C++ or Python.
