Position Summary
Oversee, assign, review, and participate in activities of team members managing the designated department program; ensure high-quality work and adherence to policies while executing advanced technical tasks relevant to the role.
Key Duties
- Lead and manage staff responsible for the department program, including scheduling and prioritization of tasks.
- Determine and allocate resources needed to deliver program services effectively in consultation with management.
- Assist in creating policies and procedures; ensure compliance and suggest improvements to standards.
- Conduct contract management duties such as site visits, vendor evaluations, and monitoring compliance.
- Set and implement program goals and objectives aligned with approved policies.
- Coordinate diverse assigned programs, fostering collaboration among stakeholders.
- Review legislation and policies related to the program; develop suggestions for leadership consideration.
- Lead recruitment, training, and disciplinary actions for program staff as necessary.
- Support budget preparation, submission, and monitoring for assigned programs.
- Generate analytical and statistical reports reflecting program operations.
- Develop community partnerships to advance services and educational outreach initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities
- Engage in professional groups to stay informed about developments in social service programming.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social sciences or related discipline from an accredited institution.
- At least three years of experience in community services programs, including one year in a supervisory or technical leadership capacity.
- Valid New Mexico Driver's License required by hire date.
- Must acquire a City Operator's Permit within six months of employment.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work involves office and field settings, requiring travel between sites and routine exposure to computer screens.
- Physical demands include prolonged sitting and operating motor vehicles.
