Role Overview
This full-time, onsite position based in Dublin involves moderating user-generated content in multiple African languages. Responsibilities include reviewing and filtering textual, visual, and multimedia submissions to ensure alignment with platform policies, legal standards, and community norms. Moderators are expected to recognize safety issues, maintain relevance, identify policy breaches, escalate complex cases appropriately, and document their decisions thoroughly. Collaboration with customer support, technical, and training teams is essential to maintain a high-caliber user experience and refine moderation processes.
Key Qualifications
- Strong analytical ability to evaluate content and enforce policy consistency.
- Fluent communication skills in English and at least one African language such as Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Swahili, or Amharic, both written and spoken.
- Customer service orientation with sensitivity toward handling delicate content and a focus on users' needs.
- Comfortable using content management platforms, ticketing systems, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Adaptability to follow evolving guidelines and disseminate best practices among peers.
- Ability to effectively operate within a dynamic onsite environment in Dublin, maintaining discretion and precision.
- Prior experience in moderation, digital community management, or related roles is advantageous.
- Educational backgrounds or relevant experience in communications, linguistics, social sciences, or IT are a plus.
