Job Overview
The Tsui Group is looking for an experienced Contract Administrator III specializing in educational facility construction projects to support a major educational client in Los Angeles County. This position involves comprehensive coordination and administration within procurement related to construction and professional services contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project management teams at the PMO and various college sites to develop and prepare procurement packages for selecting general contractors, design-build teams, and professional service providers.
- Oversee multiple competitive bidding and selection processes for construction and professional services, managing all administrative aspects from planning through contract award including procurement documentation, addenda, evaluation and approval materials, and contract preparation.
- Adapt to varied tasks assigned by the supervisor to meet the District's evolving needs, based on workload and resources.
- Strictly follow established policies, procedures, templates, and relevant legal regulations daily.
- Maintain rigorous reporting, tracking, and quality control throughout assigned procurement processes.
- Handle several procurement projects simultaneously, coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Conduct work primarily focused on administrative duties without supervisory responsibilities over others performing related functions.
- Work demands high attention to detail and compliance, subject to frequent internal and external audits.
- Perform duties fully onsite within the PMO Office, as remote or hybrid arrangements are not permitted under District policy.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in a relevant field; equivalent additional experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis.
- A minimum of five years’ experience related to contract administration as described.
- Familiarity with standard contract terms and conditions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong work ethic characterized by reliability, responsiveness, positivity, and high integrity.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Quick learner with strong logical thinking capabilities.
- Commitment to accuracy and quality in all tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to track and update statuses effectively when managing multiple concurrent projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on capital improvement projects in higher education.
- Knowledge of California higher education regulations and California Community College codes.
- Experience using electronic bidding platforms.
- Familiarity with alternative project delivery methods such as Design-Build.
- Experience operating project management software.
