Position Overview
ektello is collaborating with a leading news and media company to recruit a Data Analyst focused on People Analytics. This full-time remote contract role pays between $30 and $32 per hour and is offered on a W2 basis, including paid time off (PTO) along with options for medical and 401(k) benefits. Candidates must be eligible to work on W2 without sponsorship; candidate-to-candidate (C2C) arrangements are not accepted.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop, sustain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions that facilitate daily decision-making within HR and the broader organization.
- Examine workforce dynamics such as attrition rates, offboarding survey feedback, talent acquisition Key Performance Indicators, compensation, benefits, learning progress, talent development efforts, and other initiatives related to personnel.
- Convert business inquiries into comprehensible analyses, insights, detailed presentations, and actionable recommendations tailored for HR leadership and cross-departmental stakeholders.
- Manage scheduled reporting as well as ad hoc data inquiries, auditing activities, and data quality assessments to guarantee the accuracy, consistency, and dependability of people-focused data.
- Collaborate with teams across Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Learning, Talent Development, HR Operations, and other business units to ascertain their analytics and reporting requirements.
Required Expertise
- Prior experience working in Human Resources analytics or a related HR function.
- Proficiency with technologies such as Snowflake, SQL, Power BI, and Python for data manipulation and visualization.
- Exposure to People Analytics concepts, including employee learning, compensation structures, and recruitment data analysis.
- Experience with enterprise HR information systems like SAP and/or Workday is essential.
- Ability to work as a W2 contractor without sponsorship constraints.
