Role Context

Located in Munich, within the Munich Automation Center, the Product Strategy & Planning division spearheads development and piloting of autonomous driving solutions, testing new vehicle and technology concepts, and enabling scalable mobility and transport solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret large datasets from vehicle fleets, pilot projects, and operational processes.
• Develop and refine data-driven models to advance autonomous applications.
• Generate insightful analyses and actionable recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Identify optimization opportunities for system performance, quality, and scalability based on data.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams across engineering, IT, and business to implement data-driven solutions effectively.
• Contribute to commercialization efforts through performance analysis, business case development, and data-supported decisions.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent field.
• Practical experience in data analysis, machine learning, predictive analytics, or statistical modeling.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with proficiency in standard data science and machine learning frameworks.
• Experience processing and interpreting large, complex datasets, ideally related to vehicle, telemetry, or IoT data.
• Solid understanding of modern cloud and data platforms, especially AWS.
• Deep knowledge of data-driven business models, scalability, and economic implementation.
• Excellent analytical skills with a structured and solution-focused approach.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical and data concepts to varied audiences.
• High initiative, responsibility, and a proactive, hands-on working style.
• Team-oriented mindset with eagerness to work collaboratively in international, interdisciplinary environments.
• Flexibility and persistence in dynamic project and innovation settings.
• Strong enthusiasm for cutting-edge technologies like AI, autonomous systems, and data-driven applications.
