Role Overview
We are seeking a Director, Assistant Controller to enhance our accounting operations as we continue our growth. Reporting to the Controller, you will lead a skilled team of 10 professionals overseeing corporate accounting functions including close processes, financial reporting, and technical accounting. This role requires collaborating with teams in Financial Planning & Strategy, Tax, Corporate Development, and Legal.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-achieving team managing general ledger accounting, treasury functions, and technical accounting.
- Develop and uphold accounting policies and procedures ensuring timely, accurate financial reports aligned with US GAAP standards.
- Drive improvements in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to shorten timelines and meet public company controls and reconciliation standards.
- Serve as the organization’s expert on US GAAP technical accounting matters.
- Collaborate with Corporate Engineering on optimizing and automating the accounting technology stack including ERP (Oracle Fusion).
- Manage the external audit process to guarantee timely completion.
- Support mergers and acquisitions activities alongside corporate development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline; CPA certification highly preferred.
- Over 12 years of progressively responsible experience including leadership roles, ideally with Big 4 and industry background.
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and comprehensive financial reporting standards.
- Proven success in reducing close cycle durations and building sustainable, rigorous processes.
- Experience working within a SOX-compliant environment is advantageous.
- Highly motivated with a proactive approach, resilience amid ambiguity, and strong accountability to achieve impactful results.

Work Environment
