About Pura Vida Miami and the Role

The Creative Director plays a pivotal role in preserving and evolving the brand's visual identity across all guest interactions, transforming marketing objectives into captivating and culturally relevant brand experiences. This role reports directly to the VP of Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the brand's creative vision, ensuring consistent expression across every customer touchpoint.
- Infuse the brand’s visual style, creative standards, tone, and aesthetics into all creative outputs.
- Translate business and marketing goals into compelling creative strategies and brand narratives.
- Lead the creation of all marketing initiatives including seasonal campaigns, menu rollouts, partnerships, restaurant launches, and major brand events.
- Collaborate closely with the Brand Marketing Director to develop creative concepts and storytelling platforms.
- Oversee full creative execution from ideation to final production across channels such as digital, social media, in-store, packaging, and experiential environments.
- Guide content teams responsible for photography, video, social-first content, editorial work, copywriting, and campaign materials.
- Lead graphic design teams managing brand assets, campaign creatives, menus, packaging, and presentation materials.
- Manage creative workflows, resource allocation, and external vendor relationships to ensure projects adhere to timelines and budgets.
- Supervise budgets related to creative and content production, including agency fees and freelance expenses.
- Work cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, Digital, Operations, Culinary, and external partners to ensure aligned and effective creative implementations.
- Identify and integrate emerging trends and innovative storytelling approaches to elevate the brand experience across all platforms.
- Evaluate the impact of creative work through business results, consumer feedback, and engagement metrics to optimize future initiatives.
- Build and mentor high-performing creative teams fostering a culture of craftsmanship and accountability.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years in creative leadership within hospitality, restaurant, lifestyle, retail, or consumer brand sectors.
- Proven track record managing multidisciplinary teams including graphic design, content production, photography, and video.
- Strong portfolio showcasing excellence in brand identity, integrated marketing campaigns, digital and social media experiences, and content creation.
- Experienced in coordinating both internal creative teams and external agencies.
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and emerging AI-driven creative tools.
- Deep knowledge of visual storytelling, strategic creative direction, and brand systems.
- Capable of strategically directing while also engaging in hands-on creative execution.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills in a dynamic environment.
- Passionate about hospitality, design, wellness, and delivering remarkable guest experiences.
- Willingness to work on-site at Miami headquarters.
