Electrical Engineer

Role Overview

The Electrical Project Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing and executing electrical installation tasks including cable laying, termination, panel mounting, earthing, and commissioning aligned with approved blueprints and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily electrical installation work ensuring adherence to drawings, standards, and client requirements.
• Analyze single line diagrams (SLDs), electrical layouts, cable scheduling, technical specs, and bills of quantity (BOQ) to guarantee quality standards.
• Organize daily task allocation, manage workforce, and collaborate effectively with civil, mechanical, automation teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project progression.
• Conduct essential testing such as continuity, insulation resistance, loop checks, earthing resistance, and assist in low/high voltage commissioning activities.
• Oversee material stock, monitor consumption, prepare requisitions, and support procurement to maintain timely supply and inventory accuracy.
• Document daily progress including reports, measurement records, inspection requests, to facilitate quality assurance, quality control, and billing.
• Participate in project review meetings to address progress updates, schedule adherence, risks, execution issues, resource needs, and payment schedules.
• Enforce stringent safety protocols encompassing personal protective equipment (PPE), hazard identification, toolbox talks, work permits, and comprehensive site health, safety and environment (HSE) compliance.
• Engage with clients, consultants, and internal teams to secure approvals, conduct inspections, close punch lists, and manage handover documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficient in site supervision and interpreting electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
• Strong understanding of safety compliance and HSE standards.
• Capable of project coordination and comprehensive reporting.
• Experienced in managing materials and inventory related to electrical projects.
• Skilled in electrical testing methods and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with MS Office for documentation and reporting purposes.

Compensation

The monthly salary offered ranges between ₹20,000 and ₹45,000 depending on the candidate's expertise and project demands.
