Electrical Engineer

Role Overview

This position involves planning and managing preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities within the plant. The Electrical Engineer will provide expert technical support for troubleshooting, equipment upgrades, and oversee electrical installations and commissioning. Additionally, the role entails leadership responsibilities to ensure smooth maintenance team operations, equipment reliability, and adherence to safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance plans for electrical systems, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of maintenance tasks with approval from management.
• Establish, review, and update maintenance procedures and engineering standards; prepare and oversee maintenance budgets; ensure compliance with ISO standards and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage maintenance work orders by generating, assigning, and monitoring tasks using the MP2 system to guarantee standardized, visible, and controlled maintenance activities.
• Lead troubleshooting and corrective maintenance efforts, analyze electrical failures, determine root causes, implement remedial actions, and continuously monitor equipment performance to support production quality and continuity.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the electrical maintenance team by offering solutions, aiding in complex repairs, and ensuring necessary tools, spares, and resources are available.
• Plan, supervise, and validate new or modified electrical installations such as motors, control circuits, automation systems, and lighting; carry out testing and commissioning to confirm operational and safety compliance before final acceptance.
• Evaluate incoming electrical spare parts and equipment by verifying specifications, quality, and compatibility with existing systems to ensure suitability for operational use.
• Lead the maintenance team by setting targets, prioritizing tasks, developing team members, conducting performance appraisals, motivating staff, and approving vacation requests.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience in electrical engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automation systems is essential.
• Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is advantageous.
• Familiarity with KRONES machinery is preferred.
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good computer literacy and ability to use maintenance management software.

Additional Information

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires full-time onsite commitment. The candidate will be part of a team ensuring efficient plant operations through leadership and technical proficiency in electrical maintenance and automation systems.
