Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-functioning remote infrastructure engineering team, promoting autonomy, teamwork, accountability, and ongoing improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies for CI/CD platforms, artifact distribution systems, and broader infrastructure capabilities to support growing engineering demands.
• Initiate automation programs aimed at reducing manual labor, enhancing system reliability, and fostering a zero-toil engineering environment.
• Drive the adoption of AI-based engineering solutions to optimize dependency management, incident handling, cloud resource use, and developer support.
• Manage the advancement of internal infrastructure platforms as products to ensure they deliver a seamless and effective developer experience.
• Convert technical requirements into clear roadmaps while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in engineering and product teams.
• Evaluate and contribute to architectural decisions to ensure solutions remain scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term objectives.
• Support enhancements to cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, infrastructure-as-code practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Encourage engineering excellence through robust processes, technical code reviews, and efficient remote collaboration practices.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and growing engineering teams, including mentoring for advancement to senior roles.
• Effective stakeholder engagement skills to align technical projects with business goals.
• Advanced technical expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or similar environments.
• Practical experience working with Kubernetes and modern infrastructure management.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, ArgoCD, or comparable technologies.
• Experience scaling CI/CD systems, including platforms akin to GitHub Actions with self-hosted runners.
• Background in backend software development, competent in at least one language such as Python.
• Capability to review and influence complex system architectures, including workflow automation initiatives.
• Proven ability to establish effective teams in remote and asynchronous work settings.
• Strong grasp of automation, platform engineering concepts, and enhancing developer experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
