Entry Level Data Analyst

Role Overview

This part-time Data Analyst position is based in Sydney, NSW, and offers a hybrid working arrangement combining on-site presence with work-from-home flexibility. The successful candidate will support agricultural projects by managing operational and field data collected from greenhouse and associated systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organize agricultural operational and field data.
• Perform basic data analyses to identify trends and patterns.
• Prepare reports and interactive dashboards for project teams.
• Assist in developing straightforward data models for forecasting and decision support.
• Collaborate with project teams and management to refine data requirements and clearly communicate findings.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong analytical abilities with foundational knowledge in data analytics.
• Understanding of statistics to interpret data and support evidence-based decision-making.
• Basic skills in data modeling to structure datasets effectively.
• Good communication skills for presenting insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with spreadsheet applications and/or data analysis software such as Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, or business intelligence tools.
• Relevant academic background preferred, including coursework or qualifications in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Agribusiness, or related disciplines.
• Attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and capability to operate independently in a hybrid work setting.
• Interest in agriculture, agri-tech, or environmental data is advantageous.
