Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and precise closure of accounting books.
- Prepare daily, monthly, and other analytical financial reports.
- Complete regulatory filings, including GST submissions.
- Manage treasury operations and maintain banking and partner relationships.
- Review reconciliation reports across banks, accounts receivable/payable, intercompany, and balance sheet accounts.
- Provide proactive financial guidance and support to management and operational teams.
- Draft financial statements and tax computations.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and company secretaries for statutory reporting.
- Drive ongoing process enhancements and maintain robust internal controls and governance standards.
- Assist with the design of new processes and implementation of systems as necessary.
- Perform additional duties or projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Degree in accounting or finance, and/or professional certifications such as ISCA, ACCA, or CPA.
- More than five years of relevant experience in securities brokerage related to CMSL and FP&A; experience with Big 4 or audit firms is advantageous.
- Strong enthusiasm for financial industry trends, including regulatory, IFRS, and tax updates.
- Experience in financial services, PSA, or fintech sectors is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including lookups, pivot tables, and conditional formulas).
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, well-organized, and a collaborative team player.
- Flexibility to adapt and take on varied tasks outside defined job responsibilities to resolve challenges.
- Result-driven, with the capacity to perform well under pressure and work effectively within teams.
