About Aperture
Aperture is a growth consultancy and advertising partner focused on ambitious apps, platforms, and digital products. The team supports clients across performance marketing, creative strategy, product optimisation, CRM, analytics, and experimentation to help businesses scale. Founded in 2022, Aperture has already earned recognition as Business Consultant of the Year and as 2024's Most Innovative Growth Agency. The company is now expanding its team for its next phase of growth.
The organisation is guided by a clear set of principles: client success first, constant learning, no task being beneath anyone, full ownership, no ego, results over noise, honest feedback, and decisions led by data rather than opinion.
Role Overview
Aperture is looking for a founder's assistant to work directly with the founder in a trusted, high-context capacity. The role suits someone who is highly organised, discreet, thoughtful, and steady under pressure. The founder's day spans clients, team matters, events, sales, partnerships, speaking, content, travel, and personal commitments, and this role exists to create structure around all of that.
This is an active, hands-on position rather than a basic admin support role. The right person will pay attention to what is happening, understand priorities, identify gaps, and ensure important work moves forward. The role combines business and personal support, covering diaries, inboxes, travel, events, follow-ups, supplier conversations, team coordination, personal appointments, and day-to-day logistics that make everything run more smoothly.
Founder Operations
- Maintain the founder's calendar, priorities, schedule, and overall time management.
- Manage the inbox by sorting messages, highlighting urgent items, drafting replies, chasing responses, and making sure nothing important slips through.
- Track open items across clients, internal work, events, suppliers, personal commitments, and follow-ups.
- Prepare the founder with the right context and information before meetings, calls, events, and travel.
- Shield the founder from avoidable noise, admin burden, and decision fatigue.
Team Follow-Up and Internal Coordination
- Support the team in closing actions and keeping work moving.
- Track ownership, outstanding tasks, and items that need reminders or nudges.
- Turn messy discussion into clear next steps.
- Help the founder stay informed on key internal priorities without having to chase every detail personally.
- Notice when something is drifting and help bring it back on track calmly.
Events, Travel, and Logistics
- Coordinate founder travel, including flights, trains, hotels, transfers, visas, itineraries, and other practical arrangements.
- Support dinners, talks, conferences, offsites, client meetings, and other high-touch hospitality moments.
- Research venues, restaurants, suppliers, gifts, merchandise, travel options, and experiences.
- Compare options, manage costs, speak with suppliers, confirm details, and ensure a polished outcome.
- Travel to London, elsewhere in the UK, or Europe when needed to support events or founder commitments.
Founder Content and LinkedIn
- Help organise content ideas, draft posts, manage content calendars, and keep output moving.
- Turn rough notes, voice notes, and conversations into clear written drafts.
- Track speaking opportunities, press, partnerships, community moments, and content ideas.
- Keep the founder's public presence consistent, sharp, and active without adding unnecessary admin.
Systems, Automation, and AI
- Improve how work gets done by building practical systems, templates, checklists, and repeatable workflows.
- Use AI tools confidently for research, drafting, organisation, automation, and admin support.
- Identify repetitive tasks that can be simplified or automated.
- Create lightweight systems that make the founder, team, and wider business more efficient.
- Bring a modern, resourceful approach rather than relying only on manual support.
Personal Life Management
- Support the founder's personal logistics with discretion and maturity.
- Handle appointments, bookings, travel, gifting, errands, household logistics, and personal admin.
- Make restaurant reservations and manage other life-admin tasks that help day-to-day life feel easier.
- Move comfortably between business and personal matters as needed.
Who This Role Suits
This role is ideal for someone who quickly notices moving parts, thinks ahead naturally, and can work out what needs to happen without being walked through every step. The strongest candidate will be organised without being rigid, warm without being overfamiliar, fast without being careless, and polished without being precious.
Discretion, timing, tone, and context matter. You should be able to communicate clearly with senior leaders, suppliers, clients, friends, venues, and internal colleagues. The role also requires a strong sense of taste and standards, along with comfort in situations where the best answer is not always obvious.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means the founder's life feels calmer, lighter, and better organised. Open loops are reduced, details are handled before they become distracting, events and logistics run smoothly, and ideas move from discussion to completion. Trust grows quickly because your judgement is consistently strong.
Working Style
Aperture works remotely and focuses on impact. You can work from wherever you are most effective, while staying closely connected through communication, team sessions, events, and in-person meetups. The role requires flexibility, since some weeks will be predictable and others may involve travel, event support, urgent changes, or unusual requests. You must be able to operate in a UK timezone.
Before You Apply
The company reviews every application. A generic cover letter will not be accepted. Before applying, you are expected to research Aperture and its founder, then submit a letter in PDF form explaining why you are the right fit for this specific role. Applications without this letter will be rejected automatically. The team wants to understand your thinking, what you noticed, and why the opportunity makes sense for you.
Additional Information
The role may involve a mix of predictable work and fast-changing priorities. The company expects someone who can make sensible recommendations, take ownership without turning every step into a decision for someone else, and handle sensitive information, inbox access, calendar access, business context, and personal details with complete care. Applicants should also have strong instincts for London venues, neighbourhoods, and restaurants, and be willing to travel to London, the UK, or Europe when needed.
No agency experience is required.
