NetSoft’s main product, IntelliPath Pro (IPPro), is a cloud-based laboratory information management platform built to streamline efficiency, specimen tracking, reporting, billing, accuracy, and digital pathology workflows for pathology labs.

About the Role

This opportunity is for an experienced full stack engineer who can contribute across browser-based interfaces, Azure-hosted APIs, and supporting background services for a cloud SaaS product used in the healthcare and clinical laboratory space. The role involves working in a regulated environment where accuracy, uptime, and security are critical. You should be comfortable moving between front-end and back-end responsibilities on a production Azure platform.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related technical field is preferred. Practical, equivalent experience may also be accepted.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and support features for a browser-based SaaS application built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and delivered through Azure Static Web Apps and Azure Front Door.
• Convert product goals and design inputs into responsive, efficient user interface components.
• Strengthen front-end quality by writing and maintaining unit and integration tests using tools such as Jest, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
• Partner with product managers and domain experts to deliver workflows that are easy for clinical users to adopt.
• Keep code standards high, with attention to accessibility, maintainability, and compatibility across browsers.
• Build and maintain REST APIs using ASP.NET Core (.NET 4 through 8) deployed on Azure App Service.
• Develop Azure Function Apps for background jobs, reporting, email delivery, and queue-driven processing.
• Design database structures and migrations with Entity Framework Core on Azure SQL.
• Connect the platform with third-party systems and outside interfaces where needed.
• Implement secure file handling flows using Azure Blob Storage.
• Apply strong security practices, including authentication, authorization, and HIPAA-aware handling of data in a multi-tenant setup.
• Support Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, deployment activities, and release management.

Front-End Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with a modern JavaScript framework; Vue.js is preferred, while React or Angular are also acceptable.
• Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and plain JavaScript.
• Good command of Git for source control and team collaboration.
• Exposure to NPM/Node.js and build tools such as Webpack or Gulp.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with non-technical stakeholders.
• Vue.js project experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, or Cypress is desirable.
• Working knowledge of C# is a bonus.

Back-End Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience working with .NET Core up to version 8.
• Minimum 2 years of experience building Web APIs hosted on Azure App Service.
• Practical experience with Entity Framework Core, including migrations, schema design, and query tuning.
• Experience with Azure SQL, including database design, indexing, and performance optimization.
• Understanding of security compliance, data protection, and handling HIPAA-sensitive information.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization in distributed multi-tenant systems.
• Knowledge of session handling in distributed server environments.
• Experience in data migration, data transformation, and scripting.
• Strong use of Git and CI/CD practices.
