Role Overview

The General Manager will lead the ADCS Components group in Toronto, overseeing engineering, production, product management, business development, and financial results. Reporting to the Vice President of Space Systems, this executive role requires managing commercial growth, engineering innovation, and operational delivery in an agile environment. The position includes responsibility for product roadmaps, investment decisions, resource distribution, and partnership development within Rocket Lab and externally.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for a multidisciplinary team across multiple functions.
• Drive commercial performance while maintaining high engineering standards and operational excellence.
• Ensure the team meets customer commitments and contributes to overall corporate strategy.
• Collaborate with corporate services including supply chain, finance, and HR to integrate and support the Toronto team.
• Represent the business internally and externally, shaping investment and market growth initiatives.
• Manage product development roadmaps, capital expenditures, and allocation of time, talent, and resources.

Candidate Profile

• Experienced executive with a history of leading complex, multidisciplinary teams in technology-driven sectors such as aerospace, defense, robotics, or advanced manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to operate with broad business accountability covering financial management, product strategy, sales, and operations.
• Proven skill in balancing short-term operational demands with long-term strategic planning.
• Strong leadership style fostering clarity, accountability, trust, and empowerment for team members.
• Intellectually curious and capable of thoughtful decision-making under conditions of uncertainty with commercial and operational impact.
• Adept at adapting to rapidly changing priorities and incomplete information while maintaining confidence in decision-making.
