About the Role

Join Cygnet Hospital Bury Dunes as a dedicated Housekeeper, playing a pivotal role in creating a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients. Located in Bury, England, the facility offers comprehensive inpatient mental health care, including specialized support for deaf patients and emergency admissions. The hospital features private bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and communal areas such as a gym, laundry, therapy kitchen, garden, and woodland pathways.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver thorough cleaning and housekeeping services daily and weekly.
• Maintain the hospital premises at a consistent high standard of cleanliness.
• Manage stock replenishment and ensure all cleaning equipment is clean and functional.
• Follow health and safety policies while employing safe working methods.
• Adhere strictly to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in housekeeping or domestic roles is preferred.
• Understanding of COSHH guidelines is advantageous.
• Personality traits include friendliness, conscientiousness, and a positive attitude.
• Strong communication skills necessary for effective teamwork.

Additional Information

Candidates who are selected must pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, in line with working in healthcare environments. The working hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
