Role Overview
The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing the vehicle inventory at the facility within prescribed company timelines. Utilizing company-provided tools, the specialist will document each vehicle’s condition according to company standards, including comprehensive inventories and photographic evidence. Prioritizing tasks, this role will also oversee traffic control in the receiving area to facilitate efficient processing of vehicles. A strong understanding of Copart policies will enable the Inventory Specialist to provide solutions tailored to customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform outside job tasks related to vehicle inventory management.
- Monitor, organize, and maintain the receiving area of vehicles.
- Use cameras and handheld inventory devices to process incoming vehicles.
- Assess operational status and complete thorough vehicle inspection inventories (TLEs) where required.
- Track and maintain an inventory of all materials used in the process.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions and seasons.
- Preferably possess general automotive knowledge and mechanical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate handheld devices preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- Driver's license is preferred.
- Bilingual language skills are an asset.
Compensation
The role offers an hourly wage ranging from $19.65 to $22.13.
