Investment Data Associate

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-focused and analytical Investment Data Analyst to join our expanding Data Management team at a global investment management firm. This important position ensures the precision, integrity, and reliability of essential investment data that supports business operations, reporting, and decision-making across the company.

You will be responsible for generating and maintaining high-quality investment data across internal systems, third-party vendors, and enterprise platforms, aiding investment operations, regulatory reporting, data governance, and strategic business analysis.

The role operates in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where accuracy, problem-solving, and ongoing enhancement are highly prized.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely investment data within assigned data domains.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve intricate data issues and discrepancies.
• Execute daily and periodic data quality validations to guarantee completeness and correctness of data feeds.
• Oversee data pipelines and escalate any issues in accordance with service level agreements.
• Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and contribute ideas for continuous improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis and assist with long-term corrective implementations.
• Work closely with internal teams and external data vendors to enhance data quality and consistency.
• Develop expertise on relevant investment products, funds, and securities.
• Assist in testing tasks including system, regression, and user acceptance tests.
• Maintain governance standards, documentation, and control frameworks diligently.
• Aid in the management and validation of critical static and dynamic data attributes.
• Support audit, compliance, and data control initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in financial data operations, investment data management, or a similar analytical position.
• A degree or equivalent qualification in disciplines such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Economics, or Engineering.
• Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in data quality assurance and root cause investigation.
• Knowledge of investment products, data feeds, and data governance concepts.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a deadline-sensitive environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A proactive approach focusing on continuous operational excellence and improvement.
