About Farsight and Role Overview

Farsight is a growing SaaS company with approximately 40 employees, focusing on workflow automation solutions tailored for investment banks, private equity firms, hedge funds, and asset managers. Located in New York, NY, the company is expanding and aims to reach 100 employees soon. Currently, the IT and Security functions operate through a single individual, but with growth plans, Farsight is recruiting an IT & Security Generalist to assume increasing responsibilities under the mentorship of the Head of Information Security.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate's initial duties include managing onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring corporate device compliance, providing Tier 1 support, and maintaining inventory. This role offers room for growth into leading identity and endpoint management, security incident triage, and vendor oversight as the organization scales.

Desired Experience and Skills

• Minimum two years of professional experience in an IT role.
• Expertise in device management across Mac, Windows, and mobile platforms including MDM implementation.
• Administration capabilities with SaaS applications like Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom.
• Fundamental networking knowledge covering Wi-Fi, VPNs, and firewall operations.
• Strong security practices focusing on access control, offboarding procedures, multi-factor authentication, and single sign-on.
• Effective user support and the ability to quickly onboard new employees.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP from an end-user perspective.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US and able to work onsite in New York City.
• No educational degree is mandatory; the ideal candidate is curious, cooperative, and dependable.

• Annual base salary ranging from $80,000 to $105,000, based on prior experience.
