Job Description

Diversified Maintenance is seeking a Janitor responsible for comprehensive cleaning and upkeep inside assigned buildings or across multiple client sites. Tasks vary based on client requirements, so flexibility in assigned duties is essential.

Working Hours and Compensation

This full-time position involves working Monday through Sunday from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The wage is $16 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning of all floor types using sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming techniques.
• Adhere to safety and usage protocols when handling chemical cleaners and power equipment to avoid damage.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, meeting areas, hallways, and entrance spaces.
• Dispose of trash correctly, including the use of compactors for specific materials.
• Clean glass surfaces such as windows, partitions, and mirrors with proper cleaners and tools.
• Carry out spot cleaning and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing as needed.
• Restock paper goods and sanitary items routinely.
• Follow a prescribed housekeeping schedule to meet service standards.
• Occasionally operate heavy cleaning machinery, including floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
• Carry out other duties as per customer or work scope demands.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent; alternatively, six months minimum experience in janitorial roles.
• Willingness to undergo on-the-job training.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions effectively.

Preferred:

• Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience.
• Knowledge of custodial methods and commercial cleaning standards.
• Understanding of floor care including buffing and waxing.
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance.
