Junior Data Analyst

About the Role

We are actively seeking a Junior Data Analyst to join our team on a full-time basis. The candidate will be integral to data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting processes that support our business intelligence activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, verify, and organize data from diverse sources ensuring high accuracy and consistency.
• Analyze datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights to inform business strategies.
• Create regular reports, dashboards, and visual data presentations for stakeholders and management review.
• Contribute to the development and upkeep of business intelligence reports and key performance metrics.
• Support decision-making by delivering analytical insights and recommendations.
• Track and monitor KPIs to assess business performance.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support various business initiatives including operational, financial, marketing, and strategic areas.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand their data and reporting requirements.
• Ensure data integrity compliance with governance standards.
• Assist in automating reporting processes and enhancing data collection techniques.
• Document data sources, analysis methodologies, and reporting procedures thoroughly.
• Keep current with advancements in analytics tools, methodologies, and best industry practices.

Candidate Requirements

• Fundamental understanding of data analysis, statistics, and reporting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel including complex formulas, pivot tables, charting, and data manipulation skills.
• Familiarity with SQL for data querying and extraction is desirable.
• Experience or exposure to data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or equivalent is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages like Python or R used in analytics is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking, critical reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for presenting data insights clearly and concisely.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, meeting deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
• Preferred educational background includes a bachelor's degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
