Junior Database Administrator

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a Haystack partner for a Junior Database Administrator position based in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main Metropolitan Area. The role involves providing support in managing and advancing database environments, helping set standards, and assisting with the implementation of distributed database systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with administration and continuous development of database systems.
• Help define operational standards and contribute to deployment of decentralized databases.
• Perform initial system performance assessments and support tuning efforts to optimize efficiency.
• Investigate current processes and suggest automation solutions.
• Work closely with experienced team members and expand knowledge in solution architecture and consulting areas.
• Assume responsibility for assigned tasks post onboarding and engage in ongoing professional growth.

Candidate Profile

• Basic experience with database technologies, preferably Oracle, through academic projects, internships, or similar exposure.
• Comfortable working with Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Strong analytical abilities with a methodical problem-solving style.
• Demonstrates a proactive attitude, effective collaboration, and strong communication skills.
• Additional knowledge of Oracle RAC, DataGuard, GoldenGate, Exadata, or ODA is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks is an asset.
